Ashraf Ismail talks in an interview about climbing pyramids and riding camels and chariots in Assassin’s Creed Origins
After a long break, Ubisoft wants to recapture the hearts of their Assassin’s Creed fans with Assassin’s Creed Origins. They want to go back to their roots of the Assassin’s Creed of 2007. You will be able to explore a completely open world. You can climb upon every obstacle, which even includes the big pyramids. But it will be a lot more difficult to climb them up of course.
The open-world will be 10-times that of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. It has a lush world filled with oasis, vegetation, cities and villages. The accessible world reaches even to the Mediterranean Sea and the Nil. In an interview, Ashraf Ismail, director of the game, talked to Game Informer about ways the player can travel through the world of Assassin’s Greed Origins and possibilities like the climbing and jumping from high places.
Obviously, because the world will be really big, you aren’t limited to only walking around. You will be able to ride horses and camels, to move through the large world. But there will be also the chariots of old times. With them, it is possible to quickly move through the world and even drift around. The drifting is also a way to knock people down from horses or other chariots. Welcome to the Fast and the Furious of the old Egypt.
You will be able to explore chaotic villages and towns with curvy streets and rundown buildings. But there is also Alexandria, a city which is structured, well maintained and rather modern for this time and age.
The game will be available on Oktober 27th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
