Pokémon GO bans cheaters who use IV calculators

User was banned for seven to eight days from Pokémon GO

Niantic doesn’t allow players to get some benefits in their games by using third-party software. Those who uses such software have to be prepared to suffer the consequences. This also seems the case if players are using the IV calculators. A player wrote on that he was banned for around 7 to 8 days because he was only using IVFly. He didn’t use anything else like bots or spoofing.

But as it seems, he wasn’t the only one. Another player wrote on Reddit that he experienced the same while only using IVFly. Niantic didn’t say much more to this. So, players are wondering right now what tools they are allowed to use. Either they have to let go of those tools or they try and might get banned. But the risk might not be worth the price they have to pay for it.

Our suggestion is to keep yourself away from tools that contact the servers of Niantic and Pokémon GO. Especially, if you have to use your login data. On Reddit, you can find a list of tools that work offline and which should be a lot safer. But there is still no guaranty to stay safe from possible bans. It is wise to keep yourself away from such tools overall.
